Nestled high in the trans-Himalayan region of Nepal at 3,710 meters (12,172 feet), this pilgrimage is not a destination but an inner calling, drawing pilgrims with an unseen spiritual force that transcends space and time. Like Mount Kailash, it is not a physical place but a higher state of awareness, revered by both Hindus, Buddhists and Bons. Spiritual Significance

For a seeker, being here is not just a visit—it is an opportunity for deep inner cleansing, karmic release, and a tangible experience of detachment and freedom.
Muktinath is revered as one of the most powerful centres of liberation on Earth—a space where seekers have come for centuries to release deep-rooted patterns and move closer to inner freedom.

In the Hindu tradition, it is one of the 108 Divya Desams of Lord Vishnu and among the rare places where the Divine is believed to have manifested directly. The presence of sacred Shaligram stones in the Gandaki River and its association with Mother Lakshmi make it a powerful space for cleansing, protection, and spiritual elevation. It is also one of the few places on Earth where all five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—are naturally present in harmony.

In the Buddhist tradition, Muktinath is a revered tantric site associated with Avalokiteśvara, the embodiment of compassion. It is believed that Guru Padmasambhava meditated here and recognised it as a potent energy centre for transformation and spiritual evolution.

Over the centuries, many realised masters and sages have visited Muktinath, further strengthening its spiritual power.

The Sacred Pilgrimage

  • Vishnu Paduka: The holy imprints of Lord Vishnu’s feet that symbolise his Divine presence.
  • Mukteshvar Mahadev Temple: The place where Lord Shiva is worshipped as Mukteshvar (lit. the Lord of salvation). The Shakti Peetham
  • Samba Gompa: The main deities of this monastery are Shakyamuni (Gautama Buddha), Avalokiteśvara, and Padmasambhava.
  • 108 Mukti Dhara: The 108 cow-headed waterspouts that channel water from the holy Gandaki river. Step into its freezing waters as an act of surrender and devotion
  • Paap Kunda and Punya Kunda: Two small ponds fed by the flowing water of 108 Mukti Dhara.
  • Narshing Gompa: Worship Padmasambhava, the Bon deities and the protective, wrathful deities of Trakpo (the combined form of Hayagriva, Garuda and Vajrapani) and Singe Doma (the lion-headed deity) to clear obstacles, heal illnesses, increase lifespan, and protect against obstacles and naga dosha (snake curse).
  • Jwala Mai Temple (Monastery of the Eternal Miraculous Flame): Worship Manjushri (an embodiment of transcendent wisdom), Avalokiteśvara, and Vajrapani (the power of all Buddhas) and witness the natural gas blue flame continuously burning alongside flowing water, considered an offering from Lord Brahma (one of the Divine Masculine revered as the Creator of the Universe), symbolising the coexistence of contrasting forces in Nature and the presence of divine consciousness in all Creation.

Check-in to hotel in Kathmandu

Today, you will have a relaxed schedule in Kathmandu as you prepare for your Muktinath journey.

If you are arriving at Kathmandu today, a representative from the group will warmly welcome you just outside the airport. You’ll be provided with a transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu.

You will have free time to relax at the hotel or visit sites in Kathmandu as you choose. The journey to Muktinath would begin early on 4th September.

Fly to Pokhara

After breakfast, drive to Domestic airport to pick your flight to Pokhara.
Reaching Pokhara you will find exotic feeling viewing mountain ranges.
Checkinn hotel and after lunch proceed for sightseeing covering Davis fall,Gupteswor cave,Bindyabasini temple and fewa lake.
Dinner and overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Jomsom.
On the way have lunch in Tatopani.

Drive to Muktinath Temple and return back in Pokhara

After breakfast, drive to muktinath. From the Jeep stand, need to walk for half an hour.
At Muktinath Darshna/ puja of Muktinath temple and take a bath on 108 water spouts. Then drive back to Pokhara.
O/N at Hotel. (Dinner at Hotel).
